  5. 70,000. The ground was built on the site of
  6. the old Edinburgh Polo Ground at Murray's
  7. Field. The West Stand was added in the 1930s
  8. and the East Stand in the 1980s. Over 100,000
  9. fans are reputed to have been in the ground
  10. for the match against Wales in 1975.
