Scottish rugby ground and home of the
national team. It staged its first
international in 1925 when Scotland beat
England 14-11. The capacity is approximately
70,000. The ground was built on the site of
the old Edinburgh Polo Ground at Murray's
Field. The West Stand was added in the 1930s
and the East Stand in the 1980s. Over 100,000
fans are reputed to have been in the ground
for the match against Wales in 1975.
